2 Poverty: Have we done enough to end it? express their concerns on poverty but no action is done to end it. Poverty exists everywhere and will continue to exist if it is not taken care of. Most people want to help the poor because they have strong beliefs in what is right or wrong. Our morals and values just tell us to do so. Morality is different in people and their culture. But it is in the Good in all of us and it is a basic human emotion. It is wrong not to want to give and help the poor. No one wants to see people suffer. The problem is that not all of us feel that way. “Virtue is a good, and that goods, whether of body or mind, must be under the direction of Knowledge” (Plato). I believe that every person has been taught virtue and holds the knowledge to understand it. “Will not the knowledge of it, then, have a great influence on life?
