MIC 230 Fall, 2008 Final Review The final will be 125 points and will include 100 points multiple choice and 25 points short answer. The final will be comprehensive but will have more emphasis on the last part of the course. The portions on the material covered by the first two exams will be much more general than on the previous exams. Portions on the last part of the course will be similar in depth to the previous exams. Be sure you are familiar with basic concepts, structures (and their function) and bacterial processes. Examples of such key concepts include (but are not limited to) the following: Microbial classification; the three domains of life differences between eukaryotes and prokaryotes characteristics and advantages of bacteria compared to other organisms structure and function of the bacterial cell membrane structure and function wall structure and function motility structures and functions classifications of microbes based on how they obtain their nutrition
