I.IntroductionA.It is important to understand how to master text materials in college, as there is alot of reading to be done. You will examine reading and study strategies, as wellas test-taking skills, to move towards college success.B.The study strategies that have worked for me is note-taking, active listening, andactive reading. The study strategies that have not worked for me is timemanagement and test preparation.C.Active listening, active reading, and note-taking have contributed towards thesuccess of my grades and my academic life.II.BodyA.Active Listening1.Whenever the teacher speaks clearly, I take key notes from her speaking andmake sure I pay attention to everything that is spoken.2.This has worked for me as whenever there is an upcoming assignment, I makesure to remember all that was spoken by the teacher and to use that potentiallyfor a test.B. Note-taking1.Note-taking has been my most favorite and most used study strategy inschool. Note-taking is very useful for quizzes, tests, and regular assignments.
