Literature review “Situation at the top” Prepared by Magomedkhazhieva Zarema IFF3-1 A lot of publications have been made on the topic of CEOs, bosses, directors- generally people at the top of companies, what they should be like, how they should act with subordinates and lots of other information, so all details have been discussed. For some people that position comes easily, for others harder due to different reasons. But only with age and experience a person can become a real leader with personal and professional qualities. All the articles I’m going to give a review of are taken from the Economist. According to the article, which is called “Sympathy for the boss”, almost half of the chief executives find their jobs intensely lonely. The same idea is described in the book called “The Secrets of CEOs” which is based on interviews of 150 current and former head persons from all around the world. It is said that being a CEO should be considered as one of the best jobs in the world. However, as the author admits, real life for most CEOs is tough and many are not enjoying it. He says that they don’t have much time for their personal life, because they become 24/7 slaves to the job.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
