In recent years in accounting literature has appeared a significant number of publications devoted to the questions of accounting, analysis and control of overheads. Issues of management accounting of overhead costs as a part of production costs are one of the main subjects of research in the works of such scientists as: A.F. Aksenenko, P.S. Bezrukih, I.N. Bogatoy, M.A. Vakhrushina, N.D. Vrublevsky, N.A. Ermakova, V.B. Ivashkevich, S.A. Nikolaeva, G. Sh. Novichenko, V.F. Palia, V.I. Petrova, A.Yu. Sokolova, S.A. Stukova, N.G. Chumachenko, A.D. Sheremeta, K.V. Shchiborscha, etc. Among the foreign literature on this topic are the works of K. Drury, R. Müllendorf, B. Needles, J. G. Siegel, J. Foster, Ch.T. Horngren, J.K. Shimai etc. The results of studies of domestic and foreign experts suggest that overheads in most industries are constantly increasing both in absolute amount and also relative to the total amount of the costs of the economic entity. This is due to scientific and technological progress, the complexity of management tasks and the corresponding growth in the number of management personnel, their qualification level, widespread use of the computer in management, modern means of communication, then increased requirements for the representativeness of offices, their equipment, etc. In new conditions there appears first, a conscious need for flexible management systems, second, a change of the methodological principles of management and its components (including approaches in use of information of accounting), then toughening control over the spending of funds at the management level of the organization, and finally carrying out analytical researches on optimization of expenses in this area.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
