Schools should require uniforms. Uniforms are everywhere at schools, at work, sometimes even at places like grocery stores. It seems a bit odd when you see students walking around common places in a uniform and the students would consider it embarrassing. Even though it can be embarrassing at times, it is better for them in the long run. School uniforms help enable students to focus on the tasks at hand and excel in school by eliminating the distraction of other people and what they are wearing, bullying towards someone's clothing, and preparing them for the future. School uniforms have been an arguable subject for quite some time. Some are against uniforms and others believe that students need them. School uniforms are valuable for students because they are taught to be modest, it prepares them for the future in their jobs, and it helps drive out specific bullying regarding clothing choices. Modesty has always been an immense issue when dealing with schools that do not have a school uniform. Students will abuse the leisure that they have and will go against the dress code. By having a uniform they know what the standards are and any minor altercations to it will not go unnoticed. Schools without uniforms give leeway or loopholes to go against dress code.
