In the article Spirituality as a Predictive Factor for Signing an Organ Donor Card by Bortz, Ashkenazi, and Meinikov (2015) a problematic of low level of organ donation in Israel was studied. It was hypothesized that the decision to sign an organ donor card might depend on person’s religion, life goals and values, and personal relation to the organ donation. The study was based on the cross-sectional survey contained the following four parts: spirituality, purposes of life, relation to the organ donation, and social and demographic queries. Statistical methods were used for data analyzing and results interpretation. It was found that donor card signing correlates with higher life purposes, lower transcendent spirituality, and more positive attitude to the organ donation.
