Creating a new code using a base (SIMILAR) code. This is an excellent approach for items that need to be made repairable and for items that have a new (upgraded) version. STEP 1 – FIND THE BASE CODE. Display the code in STRUXURE. It can be thru a regular item search, MFG part, NOUN/modifier pair. Use the searching option of your preference.
