Global warming has been a growing problem since the 1970’s and is getting worse, but it is finally getting recognition. There are many causes of global warming including pollution mostly done by humans. There has been allot of evidence provided over the years that support global warming effects on climate change. One particular study is the 2013 IPCC Status Report on Climate Change – Summary for Policy Makers by M.L. Parry et al. According to Parry et al, climate changes has increased greatly since their third assessment in 2001. They have noticed changes in snow, ice and frozen ground including permafrost. These changes include increased numbers of glacial lakes and increasing ground instability in some regions. Much more evidence has accumulated over the past five years to indicate that changes in many physical and biological systems are linked to anthropogenic warming” (Parry et al 3). Parry et al explains that the uptake of anthropogenic carbon since 1750 has led to the ocean becoming more acidic, with an average decrease in pH of 0.1 units. However, these
