Noah Brown Morgan Voorhis 110 English Composition September 14, 2016 What Is My Family Like? Family to me is a group of people who have each other’s back through thick and thin; they would give their life for that other person if required. My family I feel is like a tree. My Dad is the trunk -the very thing that keeps the tree upright. Without the trunk the tree can also not be able to transport all the nutrients throughout the tree that it needs and the tree would not logically be able to stay alive for maybe more than a few minutes. Like the tree, our family would not do to well without my Dad there paying the bills and buying groceries every week. My Dad is the CEO of a company known as my Nutra Space where they come out with revolutionary health apps and products such as GluCare and the Perricone Px. He is also the pastor of my home church called Living Word Christian Fellowship. Each of our members has their own unique testimonies. My Dad and I typically get along pretty well and we love watching Cowboy games together. Both my Mom and Dad are the seeds that put this family together, without them, I would not be writing this essay today. While my mom is a seed, she is also the sap because “the sap” is constantly nurturing and caring for all parts of “the tree” which allows it to grow stronger and healthier and it is also a little sweet. My Mom is greatly into life changing oils called Young Living Essential Oils and has started her own counseling company called Omega Counseling. She also started an organization that helps single moms called Treasure of Hope. Another thing about both of my parents is that they love the Lord and also want us to serve Him faithfully and they have a deep and unbinding love for each other. They love the verse Joshua 24:15 which says, Choose you this day whom ye will serve, but as for my house and I we will serve the 1

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
