CS260P W EEK -T WO Boyd Week Two - Kickstart and Package Management Before Lab Preparation This week we will discuss package management with yum and rpm, and repository configuration. We will also cover kickstart. Prior to attending this week, read the following RedHat Documentation in Chapter 23 of the RHEL7 Installation Guide The introductory material: 23.1 and 23.2 Selected kickstart options in section 23.3. Concentrate on the following: (Some of these options have lots of sub-options - just be familiar with the option in general.) all options listed in the document as required: (bootloader, keyboard, lang, part, rootpw, timezone, clearpart , firewall , install with nfs and url companion options network , selinux , user , firstboot , graphical , text , zerombr volgroup , logvol (just that these exist and the general format) Review your anaconda-ks.cfg file produced by your final installation last week and interpret the file based the kickstart options documentation examine the man page on virt-install
