RENEWABLE RESOURCE Solar power is a renewable resource. Solar power is sunlight converted into electricity either directly or indirectly. Using solar power directly is with the usage of photovoltaics, and using solar power indirectly is with the usage of concentrated solar power.

HOW IS IT USED? Solar energy can be used in many different ways. It can be used for cooking, lighting, heating liquid, making saline, disinfection, distillation, water portable and high temperature process heating, etc.

PROS AND CONS Solar power is beneficial in many different ways. Solar power can be used in cars, homes, and in many different things. This is beneficial for our environment because solar energy does not pollute the Earth. By taking advantage of this energy source the human race can drastically reduce pollution. Unfortunately it does have it’s drawbacks. The material to make solar panels and solar cells are expensive, which creates the product to be expensive. Moreover, solar power can not be used during cloudy days, at night, or during a storm due to the lack of sunlight.
