Research Topic – Hearing Aids – Nigel Chui Hearing devices are used by people who have difficulty hearing to help them hear. These devices amplify the sound around the ears so that it is audible to the user’s ear. Hearing aids are most often used with people with mild to moderate hearing loss, but not deaf people. This is because you need working ears to hear the amplified sound. Hearing aids are placed in the ear canal wear the sound can be maximized and to prevent interference from the outside.
