Week Three Project Agriculture 1 Salmon Farming  Salmon is the farming of salmon under a controlled condition for commercial and  also a recreational purpose possibly for fishing and so on. Salmon is on of the most  important fish that are involved in aquaculture. The most common salmon that is farmed  and used in this industry would be (Atlantic Salmon) in the U.S. we also see other types  of salmon like, Chinook, and rainbow trout that is considered “salmonids”.  A study  census on how much salmon farming was worth around U.S. $10.7 Billion globally.  That’s a large amount of food to be consumed so this means that is in fact relied on a lot  when dealing with feeding the world. Aquaculture grew over ten-fold during a 25-year  span from 1982 until the most recent census in 2007. The Leading producers in shown in  2007 were Norway 33%, Chile 31%, and other producers in Europe showing 19%.  There are cons to this from just the given nature of the process in which they are  grown. Lets look at the facts comparing a wild salmon to a farmed salmon.
