Introduction to Database HW 1a Yipeng Zhou UNI: yz3169 Processing structured data “orders.csv” and “customers.csv” I designed four functions to find and insert the two csv files. For the two “find” function, I used csv library in python to parse every line of the csv data. The parsed data has been stored at list “catalog” and “content”. Catalog is from the first row of the csv filed the first row gives the name of each attribute. The content stored the customer data of every row. The list “search_result” stores indexes of the content. For every condition, the function searched all the customers/orders corresponded by the “search_result” indexes. If the customer/order is not fit the condition, its index will be removed from the “search_result”. After checking all the conditions, if there are still some indexes in “search_result”, the function find the customers/orders. If the function receive a wrong condition, it will stop immediately and return message. If there are not any index in “search_result”, the function can return message.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
