Unit 7 Lab Questions A Death at St. Augustine 1. What is the question at the center of the situation discussed in the video? Whether Michelle O'Connell committed suicide, or was murdered by her boyfriend. 2. Why is Jeremy Banks' profession a complication in this case? Because, of how the police department is going to treat one of the their own. They don't want their department to look bad, or have a bad representation. 3. Why do Michelle's family and friends think that Jeremy may have killed her? Because of the abuse they saw and how many times Michelle Would tell her family her relationship issues. They were also worried because Michelle showed that she was scared to report his abuse 4. Why do the police feel that Michelle committed suicide? Because of the not 100% accurate information from the investigation that was presented to them, or they conducted themselves. 5. What led to the case being reopened? They wanted to reanalyze evidence and the process which occurred that night.
