Language Journal Guidelines Throughout the semester, you will keep a language journal. For the language journal, you will record and analyze examples of interesting uses of English. To accomplish this, listen and observe in your daily life (as well as your other classes) for new words and phrases, new usages of old words, changes in the structure of sentences, sound changes, non-standard grammar, new spellings, play on words, and so forth. You will submit a total of four journal entries, two that must be turned in by
