Hope: How does the virtue of hope pertain to Mark’s progress and recovery? The virtue of hope pertains to Mark’s progress and recovery because without hope, there would be no point to the atonement or repentance or to trusting in God. As humans, we crave hope. We have to know there is some chance of healing and recovery in order to work for it. What evidences of God did Mark experience? Mark had multiple instances of God literally telling him, “I love you”. We all have experiences like that but I find it somewhat miraculous that he had many experiences over the course of this addition. When he was involved with the robbery, God told him, “I am still here”. I always notice that the presence of God is most apparent when the situation is so desperate. Our Heavenly Father truly wants to help us and aid us in returning Home. What do you think really made the difference for Mark? I think the thing that made the difference for Mark was that he was truly humble before the Lord each time. He truly wondered why the Lord would still love him, and when it was confirmed that
