FAML 360 – Family Stress and Coping Raising Resilient Children Action Plan Student Name: Madeline Fife Raising Resilient Children Action Plan My specific plan for rearing children who can handle challenges in life Desired quality or behavior tendency (1) Adaptability How we will help our child to develop this quality 1. Although children usually do best with schedules, it is just fine to change things up and help the child learn to cope with unexpected changes in the best way possible. Just like in life, schedules change sometimes and it’s nothing to be upset about. 2. Teach them to find joy in each thing that happens throughout the week. 3. Expose them to different situations and people at appropriate ages so that they don’t become very used to one thing and unable to adapt. Anticipated challenges in developing this quality 1. Humans have tendencies towards “sameness” in our schedules and our personalities. It’s very easy to stagnate and just not improve or be adaptable because of the hassle of it.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
