Our objective in the problem given is to create an device which allows Christine to safely, efficiently, and comfortably enter and exit a vehicle. The materials used for the construction of this device must be strong and light, as it must support her weight, and it must be portable. Wood is an effective choice for building material in this project due to its availability, strength, and versatility. Wood can withstand a large amount of pressure once the moisture has been removed. In addition, it can be cut to preferred lengths with relative ease. It is also very durable and can withstand heavy use before being damaged. For example, if the structure were to be dropped, wood will be able to withstand the impact of the collision.
