My definition of learning means to have a teachable spirit or a humble attitude that allows the student to gain knowledge from the teacher. Dr. Johnston defines learning as, “Taking in the world around you through your five senses, making sense of it and being able to respond appropriately.” I think learning happens when we are presented with an opportunity that asks for our attention to make a decision later on. Before I took the Learning Connections Inventory (LCI) I didn’t know how to describe my learning style. I knew that I like to be organized and read directions before I start a task. The LCI calculated my results and said that I'm a Dynamic Learner. My results for each pattern are Sequence 33 Use First, Precision 27 Use First, Technical 18 Use as Needed, and Confluent 19 Use as Needed. I can specifically recall a time in July 2017 when I used each learning pattern in a personal experience. My best friend wanted to arrange a girls’ trip for two days in San Jose, Costa Rica that included four girls in total. We each had to decide where we
