Springfield Site Device and STP configurations Site Details and Challenges The current site requires the following components device hostnames, banners, secured passwords and spamming tree protocol. The site was developed without VLANs in the network; therefore this technology needs to be implemented in order to enhanced logical communication between devices and enhance security. Security is another challenge because the current devices such as the switches, line devices, console port and VTY lack password security. We must create and encrypt those passwords in order to provide better protection in the entire site. Banners are also missing which is a must in the configuration of cisco devices to show that security measures are being considered. The site is also lacking STP and might encounter IP addresses looping or redundancy. Another challenge is that the administrators are not able to
