Accreditation and the University of Regina In Canada, there is no national or provincial system of accreditation similar to the system of voluntary accreditation that is used in the United States. However, there are professional organizations that accredit specific degree programs for their professions such as in medicine or engineering. In place of accreditation, Canadian universities are authorized to award degrees via a charter granted by special action of the legislature of the province in which they are located. The University of Regina in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada was granted such a charter on July 1, 1974 through the passing of the University of Regina Act and is therefore considered to be a fully recognized, degree granting institution. The U of R is authorized to grant certificates, diplomas, and degrees at the bachelor, master and doctoral level. All universities and colleges authorized by a charter to award academic degrees are members of Universities Canada

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
