Science vs. Common Sense Differences: 1. Scientists systematically build theoretical structures, test for internal consistency, & put aspects of them to empirical test. 2. Systematically and empirically tested 3. Control: ordered so you can have confidence in the outcome 4. Rules out metaphysical (i.e., prepositions that cannot be tested).
