TECHNOLOGY 2 Wearable Technology Introduction The increasing technology has enabled the society to enjoy a variety of products. These products ranging from computers to watches as well as clothing have demonstrated a good gesture to human live. The most interesting move in technological environment is the availability and use of the wearable technological gadgets. The wearable technology has made life safer with high security levels since some watches in this line are made of tracking gadgets for security. Wearable technology can be designed differently to fit different parts of the body; some are designed to fit the wrist, some for neck while others for head among other parts of the body (Cranny-Francis & Haukins, 2008). Among the wearable gadgets include rings, watches, clips and even clothes among others. Wearable technology or sometimes called wearable gadgets are technological gadgets specially made to be worn by the consumers. This equipment is made in as special way to perform a given task. Most of such gadgets contain tracking information that can provide security as well as useful information about the body conditions (Edwards, 2008). The uses of wearable technology have been seen in different environments including sporting, medical among other fields. Several designs have been used to satisfy the consumers hence making these wearable gadgets have high demand in the different environments (Edwards, 2008). Most of these wearable technology devices are specially made to connect to some other gadgets for their normal operation and efficiency (Harris, 2008). Watches have been connected to the mobile phones and computers to act as tracking devices. Again, other technology devices are made with special sensors that take photos and synchronize with computers and mobile phones. All these wearable technology devices are discussed as follows.

TECHNOLOGY 3 Fitness trackers Several technology gadgets have been designed differently to enable fitness in different fields. Several problems that usually arise during sleep have been solved with wearable technology. The smart fitness trackers like UP3 have been widely used for smart sleep analysis as well as tracking. This device is specially made with very sensitive sensors to measure heart rate, breathing rate, respiration, and skin response during sleeping (Mackinnon, 2013). Most of the fitness trackers are supported in different applications in Smartphones making them useful for tracking information. Some of the fitness trackers such as Smart Coach can also be capable of giving the information about the type of sleep that people usually have at night; both deep and light sleep. Smart Coach as well can supervise and give you information about how to improve your sleep, a necessity of good life (Mackinnon, 2013). Again, Smart Coach is capable of providing information about the eating habit as it tracks the information about the body consumption and requirements.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
