HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT 2 Unionism in Hospitals Introduction and thesis Employees usually require different specific environments that may not be provided by employers and owners of organizations alone. This may depend on the amount of salary and workload offered to such employees. Among the nurses, the amount of work in such environments of operation is too much that may not add to pay offered to such intellectuals. It is also very difficult to raise an individual complains to demand for the change in how organizations work no matter how much difficult the conditions one experience. These complaints can only be handled when employees speaks in one voice; a voice that can raise complaints pertaining to a group of employees (Dimick, n.d.). With the help of different unions in nursing sector, nurses are able to demand for the best work environment they require. Also, their rights are considered and good pay guaranteed. In addition, through better pay to the nurses as determined by unions, patient care is improved (Tufts, 2009). Extensive education Extensive educational services are among other important aspect that is a benefit from unionization. The union representatives usually conduct and provide an extensive educational
