Cirrhosis: Etiologies Four types of cirrhosis 1. Alcoholic cirrhosis Also called portal or nutritional Usually associated with alcohol abuse First change from excessive alcohol intake is fat accumulation in liver cells With continued abuse, scar formation occurs
