Popular Science Reading #1 1. Briefly summarize the article/talk in your own words (3-6 sentences). 1. In this talk Richard Turere a boy from Kenya had a farm with lots of livestock. However, lion would come all the time and eat their livestock, therefore killing the animals and destroying part of their income. Richard wanted to solve this problem with out killing the lions. He made an invention in which different lights flash outside the shed to make it look like there is a person moving with a flashlight. This scares the lions and they don’t come. With his innovation he found a way to be at peace with the lion and still have his livestock. 2. Briefly describe one of the following: 1. A biological concept that I found interesting is the fact the reason the lights worked to scare away the lion are because they are naturally scared
