Justify yourResponse:According to criminal justice research, communication, precision, and research and effective investigative skills are some of the most important characteristics of an effective paralegal (Jordan, 2001). We all know that communication plays an integral role in the human life including being a paralegal and this can be cited as one of the main reasons why one must possess good communication skills to be an effective paralegal. Normally; paralegals spent most of their time interacting with other people and therefore; effective oral communication skills are essential when it comes to interrogating or interviewing a witness. The other reason why communication is essential to paralegals is because it assists them to ask relevant questions as well as keep the interview on the track that may aid in the prosecution of a criminal (Jordan, 2001).They say nonverbal communication can sometimes speak louder than any other form of communication why defines why effective communication skills are important characteristics of an effective paralegal. The confidence of a paralegal can be derived from body language which can determine the confidence, defensiveness, authority as well as other traits of an effective paralegal. Basically; this defines why it is essential for a paralegal to focus on every type of communication skill given the fact that they can impact their performance in more than a few ways. Precision is a pivotal characteristic of an effective paralegal. There is nothing as bad as a paralegal who cannot deliver accurate information which in many cases ends up setting criminals
