Travis Murdock Death and Dying 10/3/17 Death Experiences Death has always been a surreal thing for my to grasp. I never truly understood how someone could be with you one day and gone the next. It is such a permanent thing that never seems real. I grew up playing a lot of video games; I was kind of a nerd that didn’t get out much. I always thought that life was based around retries that if you died you could always restart. I was around seven years old when my great grandfather died, I felt horrible. He was so close to me and I remember loving the times I would spend with him, the whole period seems so surreal. I don’t remember feeling a lot of pain. Initially a lot of confusion, which might of even been worse. My parents never sat me down to explain what had happened, I just remember being and feeling lost, like I was following the pattern my parents were doing and I was just following suit. My parents were very calm and collected. They seemed to be very strong so I felt strong as well. I didn’t need or feel the need to be sad since I had no grasp on what had happened. After he passed the family
