Between 50 and 75% of the essay questions on CS 200 exams will be taken from the portions of this list covered prior to the examination, though often in modified form. The answers are not supplied—those are for you to figure out! We will discuss questions with you, but you may not copy down such discussions while they are in progress: what’s important is understanding. The questions are grouped loosely be category. Though each question appears but once, many are suitable for more than one category. Be aware that these questions don’t cover all the topics discussed in CS 200—just those for which we happen to have had one or more exam questions. So you should not be surprised if new questions on an exam cover topics not represented here. Review your lecture notes, too!
