If iron and friction losses equal the copper losses at this load, the output of the engine driving the generator is 4. A shunt delivers 195 A at a terminal voltage of 250 V. The Ra = 0.02Ω and Rf = 50Ω. The iron and friction losses are equal to 950 W. Find the commercial efficiency of the generator. 5. A dc generator has a mechanical efficiency at 98.2% and an electrical efficiency of 95.9%. Find the commercial efficiency.
