Hicks 1 Greyson Hicks Dr. Mikkelsen AMH2010 166986 9 November 2016 The Rise of Jackson Hollywood is always looking for the next big movie, the one that’s going to grab the interest of the people and make money. Producers are quick to jump on an idea that will make them well known and will put more cash in their wallets. But how does one know what will make a great movie and what will be a total bust? A movie must be able to excite the viewer, keep them guessing, bring them to the edge of their seat and most importantly keep them interested. The history of Andrew Jackson can accomplish these things because the tale of a war hero who also became president, is one that will jump out at the people and draw a large audience. Doesn’t “Hero to President” have a nice sound to it? The typical story of the rise from the ashes always sells a huge amount of tickets. Andrew Jackson did exactly that. Jackson wasn’t given a good start in life. He started out in a struggle for money, education, health and a purpose in life. Before Jackson’s birth, his father died and he was left with his mother and his two brothers. They moved in with their Crawford relatives where Jackson was able to receive an elementary education. His oldest brother Hugh, enlisted in the army and died at Stono Ferry and his other brother Robert, died of small pox. Shortly after these two occurrences, his mother fell ill and died as well.
