American Civil War2The Civil War in America was a war between the Southern 11 States of American and the United States. The Southern States included North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Virginia, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Southern Carolina, while the other remaining states formed the United States. This war occurred within a time period of four years, from 1861 to 1865. During the war, both men and women played a collective key role in ensuring that the war was successful, if I may say. Men were technically soldiers while the women had other roles as we are going to discuss below.Women, during the civil war, had a number of roles which included; looking into the soldier's affairs and providing them with the needed personal effects like food, clothing, and money or cash if need be.
