ASB 370: Ethics of Eating Save File As: LastnameFirstname_1 ASB 370: The Ethics of Eating Assignment 1: Ethical Matrix Rating and Ranking Exercise The purpose of this exercise is for you to begin thinking about your decision-making process when thinking about varied priorities related to food choices in industrial food systems. Before completing this assignment, you will need to have watched the required lecture “Introduction to Ethics,” read the required article Food Choice: Ethical Dilemmas by Ben Mepham (2013), and watched the instruction lecture for this assignment. First, you will evaluate a list of priorities derived from the Ethical Matrix on page 14 of Mepham’s 2013 article. This Ethical Matrix was developed by Dr. Ben Mepham based on an approach used by ethicists to help medical professionals make ethical decisions in their work. The Ethical Matrix is designed around three ethical principles: respect for well-being, respect for autonomy, and respect for justice.
