Page 2 “Napping on the Night-shift: An Implementation Project.” The research purpose was to study how to successfully implement napping scheduled at a specific time during night-shift, and to record and evaluate each individual participates experience. The purpose of the taking naps was to see if they’re any effects on the participates alertness, decrease their sleepiness, improvement in their overall responsiveness. [Gei16] This observational study, researchers were attempting to see if participates were convinced to engage in this study. The most troublesome obstruction occurred at the purpose of seeking the healthcare facilities administration approval and getting consent from unit nurse participates. Researchers were in an attempt to collecting enough data to support their theory that it was correct and would be able to be implemented. This study only had a number of participates that agreed to the study, even with some hospital administrators agreeing to the study, they shared a lack of moral support for the observational study. The process of how information was collected was based upon an online nap experience form which included the KSS, or Karolinska Sleepiness Scale. This KSS was used to evaluate participates before, during, after and the duration of the napping experiences. It asked questions to scale sleep inertia, and the helpfulness with the overall nap experience. The study outlined was utilized for more than forty-seven
