He insists that pesticides and bacterial infections are the main cause of this misfortune (217).With the multiple death of bees, the way plants are pollinated and many foods will be completely different. Walsh states that with the disappearance of honeybees, a great amount of the world’s food sources will be effected. In this essay, Walsh believes that pesticides are the main reason bees are disappearing. Walsh personally spoke with a bee keeper, Jim Doan, who shares that the reason bees are disappearing is neonicotinoid pesticides.
