Some kids are bullied day in and day out causing mental instability though.Education plays such an important role to putting a stop to bullying. Understanding how bullyingcan effect someone's life can make a difference. Once someone understands and realizes howtheir actions can make another person feel they usually stop. In recent studies it has been proventhat once anti-bully rules or zones are put in place at schools, bullying dramatically decreases butit is up to the school authorities or staff to actually follow through and enforce the rules.Everyone involved must take bullying seriously. Many wonder why someone would enjoybullying another human being. Researchers have found those who lack compassion or attentionfrom important people in their lives are usually found to be the bully. So in conclusion the root ofthe problem is showing your children, students, loved ones, and friends love and attention soretaliation does not occur causing the bully to feel the need to show others that they areimportant. In today's world it seems as if families do not have time for each other anymore.Many parents work full time jobs leaving it to a daycare or babysitter to raise their children sothey can support their children. Aside from bullying being in schools in reality it is all around.Bullying is found in workplaces as well. In recent years bullying has become a bigger issue andsocial media along with cyber bullying is to blame for the psychological damage victims face.
Thompson 2Bullying can ruin someone's self-esteem causing long term effects such as depression, anxiety,suicide, and many other serious issues. It is a rippling effect that needs to come to an end.Educating students, parents, teachers, and staff can make a difference and decrease thepossibilities of bullying, explains Lyndal Bond. So what exactly is bullying? What is consideredto be “part of growing up”? Bullying occurs in every school across the entire world. It is certainthat it does cause one to be distraught or hurt. On one hand it can be considered a normaldevelopmental experience. On the other hand it can be the root of all evil causing emotional andphysical problems. Lyndal along with colleagues conducted a survey of students who weremostly the age of thirteen. Three total surveys were given to two-thousand six hundred andeighty students at the beginning and end of the eighth grade as well as the beginning of ninthgrade.
