Brantley wrote on Emily Dickinson and her beliefs and viewpoints on religion.Brantley wrote about her “quarrel” with God, and he tells how Dickinson “gave up on God”, as if to never speak to him again. He tells also how Dickinson views the statement “If God is for us,nothing can ever be against us” (746). Dickinson views it as “When God is against us all other allies are useless” (746). Dickinson viewed the resurrection of Christ as a testimony of the humanity of Jesus. She believed Jesus lived courageously and on the other side of danger.
