The towns people are killed and some are taken captive including herself. She is faced with a being killed as well, but if she goes with her captors without a fight they will not kill her. “The Indians laid hold of us, pulling me one way, and the Children another, and said, come go along with us; I told them they would kill me: they answered, If I were willing to go along with them, they wouldnot hurt me”. (Perkins 73) Faced with death however her faith in God is strong. She then gets separated from her son and daughter, lose another daughter from death, endures hunger, physical injury, and constant moving she relied on her faith in God to keep going.Rawlinson believe that Goes makes things happen for a reason and that everything he does has a purpose.
