On September 11, 2001, a group of terrorists changed the lives of every U.S. citizen forever. There was a string of terrorist attacks by al-quaeda on U.S. soil. The terrorists took four planes and flew them into four strategic places to hurt the U.S. economy and department of defense. These demons who reigned terror on our homeland were not dumb; they knew how they would end up and the places they hit or attempted to hit were smart decisions to hurt the United state’s welfare. The four places the terrorists attempted to strike were the twin towers which took two planes, the pentagon, and somewhere in Washington, D.C. the last plane was taken down in Pennsylvania before it struck its intended target. The first plane was flight 11, hijacked from Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts at 7:59 AM (history.com). It was headed to Los Angeles with 92 innocent people aboard the Boeing 767. At 8:19, the flight attendants alerted ground personnel that the plan had been hijacked. Mohammed Atta, the hijacker of flight 11, made an accidental transmission to air traffic control at 8:24 AM. The next time we see flight 11, it is headed to the side of the North tower of the Twin towers. At 8:46 AM on September 11 th , 2001, the world as we knew it was changed forever from the actions of one person and a religious belief. Flight 11 hit the north tower of the World Trade Center, starting the largest attack on U.S. soil to date and hopefully the largest attack on U.S. soil ever. The 92 people aboard flight 11 were killed instantly upon impact, and the impact and following explosion killed many people instantly from floors 92-99 of the north tower. The North tower fell to the ground by the hands of Mohammed Atta and the religious beliefs of al-quaeda at 10:28 AM. These people that died were just headed to work or planned on putting out fires or were going to write citations for parking in the wrong spot. These people did not want to die, and they didn’t know when they woke up that they

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
