The Purpose of the plan: The Purpose of plan Colombia foreign aid package granted to the country of Colombia from the United States. The aid consisted of substantial financial grants intending to assist Colombia on their fight with the “War on Drugs” which in relation to the US would reduce the trafficking of narcoleptics into the country. However there were a multitude of other factors and implications, both accidental and unintended that ultimately misrepresented the purpose of the plan. Initial tactic to execute the Plan: To achieve the objectives of Plan Colombia, the majority of the aid was provided in the form of armed forces. This situation was on of the first difficulties of the mission because of the unending civil war between the government of Colombia and the left-wing Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - People’s Army (FARC),
