Summary The main purposes of the assignment are (a) to understand how the fundamental concepts of management are crucial to running multinational corporations, (b) to enhance research skills of students as business educators in the real market, (c) to involve theories and concepts of management to a real life case of a company, (d) to provide a chance of professional presentation for everybody to challenge themselves to the edge and enhance abilities. So, to fulfill the purposes of this assignment we have chosen Samsung Company from management perspective. Introduction of the Company Samsung Group is South Korea's largest conglomerates, including 26 affiliated companies and certain other institutional investors, established nearly 300 corporate offices in nearly 70 countries and regions, a total of 196,000 employees, with operations in electronics, finance, mechanical, chemical and other fields. Group 3 enterprises to enter the U.S. "Fortune" magazine ranks of the world's top 500 in 2006, Samsung Group's turnover in 2003 of approximately $ 96.5 billion which includes electronics industry $ 26.3 billion (27.4%), machinery industry $ 6.3 billion (6.5%), the chemical industry $ 2.1 billion (2.2%), the financial sector, $ 26.2 billion (27.2%), trade and other industries of $ 35.2 billion (36.7%). Brand value up to $ 10.85 billion, ranked 25th in the world a hundred brands, for two consecutive years become the fastest growing brand. Group's flagship company - Samsung Electronics ranked third in the 2003 "Business Week" IT hundred increasingly become the industry leader, its influence has gone beyond the traditional industry giant(Baidu 2013). Samsung has nearly 20 kinds of products the world market share in the global enterprises first, highlights the prowess in the international market. Samsung Electronics, for example, the company won several awards in the annual American Society of Industrial Design Industrial Design Award (Industrial Design Excellence Awards IDEA) Award for several consecutive years to become the most award-winning company. These prove that Samsung's design capacity has reached world-class level. Samsung patent in the United States in 2003 up to 1313, ranked ninth in the world all enterprises (Baidu 2013).
