REVERSE LOGISTICS OUTLINE 2 REVERSE LOGISTICS OUTLINE Abstract Reverse logistics refers to the technique of reusing raw materials and waste products with the main aim of improving their value for better use. It is the process associated with the movement of waste materials from their point of consumption to their point of origin for regeneration and improvement of value to enable it bring cost effectiveness in the manufacturing process. However, there is need to note that not all products can be regenerated using reverse logistics. Similarly, some waste products have higher value as compared to others when regenerated ( Agrawal et al., 2015). There is also need to note that the process of regeneration is also a determinant of the value the product of the regeneration process will have. This paper highlights the use of reverse logistics as a management strategy, and a technique that has many benefits to a company. Waste products are usually taken from their point of consumption and converted to other useful products or similar products, thus giving them value and creating cost benefits. In addition, this paper also discusses all the benefits that accrue to a company because of reverse logistics. Finally, the paper gives recommendations for future research on the effective implementation of reverse logistics in companies.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
