Amazon’s mission statement was said to be that they wanted to be “the earths most costumer centric company, where customers could find anything they would ever want to buy online”. Based on Amazon’s technology they are always working on ways to make themselves much better and efficient, they have reduced delivery times and they want to eventually get to the point where they could be able to use drones to make deliveries under an hour. They have also made accommodations to students where they can order their books with one-day shipping so that they do not wait for long periods of time. Another important factor is the economic environment; amazon’s technology is able to process what you order most in order to personalize the home page of its website to things you may want to order. 2. Trends Threat Opportunity eBay becomes a larger competitive rival Less people will be shopping from amazon since eBay is almost the same as them and it has expanded.
