1. Should First Amendment rights extend to violent video games or should there be a special category of free speech not afforded to books or movies? In the way that I read and interpret the First Amendment rights I do not believe that they should be extended to protecting the development and distribution of violent video games. “According to information on the Cornell University Law Schools website the First Amendment protects the freedom of expression which consists of free speech, press, and assembly” (First Amendment: An Overview, 2015).
