Why doesn’t the environment get taken care of? Tragedy of the Commons : Situations featuring individual benefits with shared costs lead to greedy decisions. The “people problems” are much harder problems than “technology problems” The Environment (air, water, climate) and Material/Energy Resources constitute a “Global Commons” Therefore we should expect that these resources are not managed well. 1. The Market Sets Price not Value . 2. Valuation is Through Science, Not Inherent to Consumer. 3. The Distribution of Costs vs. Benefits Matters.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
