McCall K- OLB-7002-3 3 Evaluate Employee Selection and Training on Capacity Employee selection and training are critical to organizational capacity, productivity and retention. Human Resources will play a fundamental part in the organizations employee recruitment and their training. HR can model a standardized selection process that will bring on the most qualified candidates. Human resources creating some sort organizational best practice model that can be company and or department specific. Gear such specifics during the selection process towards whichever department the candidate maybe applying for may increase the company’s productivity which results in higher profits. Hiring well qualified employees for the job will help increase the potential that the organizations capacity can be fulfilled. Employees that have strong knowledge, skills, and abilities while performing their job functions daily with consistency will help increase capacity. A well-trained employee is another key function of responsibility for human resources. Training employees to achieve capacity is another fundamental practice successful companies invest in. Having a training curriculum in place that gives employees the tools they need to be successful. Cross-training employees to perform multiple functions provides back-up qualified resources in the event retention levels decrease.
