TEMPLATE FOR SUMMARY ASSIGNMENT 2 Theme: Family Topic: Cyberbullying Title: Cyberbullying: A New Form of an Old Problem Intended audience: Based on the information provided in the article, Ms. Choo will reach a wide range in her audience. This article was very helpful to parents, school administration and staff, and local government agencies. She includes information that is easily understood but at a deep enough level that the reader feels that Ms. Choo is an expert in her field. Writer background: Ms. Choo is a psychologist and educational researcher . Writer’s angle : Cyberbullying has become sensationalized by the media. Even as the idea of cyberbullying is discussed more, society has yet to produce a solution to a growing problem. Traditional bullying was done generally in person so that the bully faced his victim, now faceless bullies can torment their victim through many different devices such as phone, computer, and tablets making it difficult to stop them. Is sensationalizing cyberbullying desensitizing our society?
