Johnson 1 Hannah Johnson Professor Chovanec Humanities 2113-313 14, Sept. 2017 Assignment 3 Rainy Days The Epic of Gilgamesh and The Book of Genesis, both have a story that reference to a flood. You will be seeing the similarities and the differences that I have notice about the two stories. They are similar in very many ways but they also have some differences too. The Book of Genesis only has one god and the Epic of Gilgamesh has multiple gods. From the Book of Genesis, Noah was completely human, but in The Epic of Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh was two thirds god and one third human. The Book of Genesis, the human Noah was made and live for hundreds of years after a great flood happened. He was the one that made an ark and had two of every kind of animal, creature, and thing on the ark with him and his family when the flood came. In this story God was mad at his people for not obeying him and turning to darkness. God wanted to rid the world of his creation. God asked Noah to build and ark in seven days out of cypress wood. The ark would protect him and all things inside

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
